The Rocky River Board of Education is asking voters to approve a 4.9 mill levy on the May 4, 2021 ballot. The last levy passed in November 2017 so while our district traditionally has a levy every three years, the District was able to stretch the last levy by an additional year. By stretching the levy cycle an additional one to two years, the district has eliminated one full levy cycle (4.9 mills) over the last 12 years.

The passing of this issue on May 4 is vital to keeping the academic and social-emotional support our students need, while also maintaining the quality of our facilities and operations.

The levy is 4.65 mills for operating expenses and 0.25 mills for permanent improvements. The Board of Education timed this levy to coincide with a 1 mill reduction of a previous bond issue to minimize the cost. The levy will cost $11.74 per month for $100,000 of property valuation.

Vote By Mail Starts April 6
